  The movie lives in a memory of a simpler time, and we watch the players doing the same. It illustrates the sad reality for those who care passionately about something: that many others don't, and quickly give up when faced with minor inconveniences. I felt the pain of this circle crumbling due to small obstacles: a half-hour drive discontinuing their tradition; not hanging at the bar after the game; they don't even patronize the pizza truck on the field. Their undoing is mostly breaking promises to themselves. This slice-of-life film captures the importance of appreciating fragile moments of joy before they're gone.

  This film asks an interesting moral question, but doesn't necessarily answer it in a satisfying way. Not breaking the mold with much of anything in this movie, but enjoyable performance from Nicholas Hoult as expected

  Probably the most disappointing performance from everyone involved. It's like the Hollywood version of showing up to the office and dicking around for a week because you're getting paid regardless. Felt soulless. You will never be Spy Kids.

  Super fun stylistically but kinda falls off in the third act. Asks a lot of interesting hypotheticals about romance, fidelity, and changing as a person through hardship. Very enjoyable to watch with a partner.
