Just like the main character, Stir of Echoes stumbles into its purpose haphazardly and aburptly. This charming yet clunky movie could've been a cult classic had it come out a little earlier. Frankly, this film could've been damn near amazing if they had allowed us to fully experience everything with the main character. The story is rushed and yet we spend two unnecessary scenes with a random character who only serves to provide some sort of explanation for the audience.…

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory has that great 70's charm. The environments are filled with life, messy human mistakes, and beautiful color. The movie lacks a consistent plot and is better for it. There's a weird dark undertone that seems to make the jokes far funnier than they should be. The tunnel scene is still so fantastically strange and stands the test of time. There are flaws with this movie but anything to nitpick is overshadowed by the pure whimsy presented. Its goes without saying, Gene Wilder is an absolute gem and such a delightful freak in this movie.
