I was really looking forward to this movie. For some reason, the trailer made it seem like these Mormons were gonna go deep into a basement labyrinth that would test their faith in various ways.
Nope.
It’s just Hugh Grant summoning unhinged college philosophy professor vibes.
At least there was pie.
I saw it on Christmas to a theatre full of senior citizens who clearly didn’t know this Nosferatu had the look and feel of the original but with the horniness of Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula. Two couples walked out halfway through the movie. I honestly thought both Nosferatu’s were boring but I appreciate the cinematography and dark anxious pacing. I also am pretty sure Willem Dafoe stole that girl’s cat in the end, and that made me laugh.
I admit I rented this thinking it was the Britney Spears movie but my dad saw me watching it and yelled “STEVE VAI!” and sat down and watched the rest of the movie with me. All in all I’d say it was a good mistake. Later I ended up renting that Britney Spears movie anyway and it sucked 😂
ET walks around naked pretty much the whole time and is addicted to candy. I don’t know what else I was supposed to get out of this except ET IS A FREAK
