Chaotic, hilarious, classic! Shot and lit beautifully!

It’s dark, romantic, and haunting in the best way. My fave part: in the film, sometimes the speed ramping creates jerky, sped-up effect (often used for comedy) that made the “horror feeling” so fresh, shocking, tasteful — really good homage to German expressionism, silent films, and early cinema. Every frame feels like a painting — it is a perfect homage to the original film’s shadowy figures climbing up the stairs, set design, and dark vibes — but elevated with lots…

Once you get over the AXE body spray smell in the theatre, the movie is not bad at all.  CONS: There were no sex scenes. PROS: Mescal does take a hot bath, he recites Virgil (almost fainted), he rows, and he looks really well on an IMAX screen.

Crime has never felt so intoxicating…I loved this movie. All the 0 to 100 moments mixed with the eerie calm moments make your heart go a million miles an hour. All the “is she gonna? did she just do it?!?!?” moments are super fun. Great editing. The characters are so good. Cinematography was lovely. THE SCORE itself is worth watching the movie for — Richard Reed Perry killing it again (he scored The Nest, The Iron Claw).
