"The worst part of having a mental illness is PEOPLE EXPECT YOU TO BEHAVE AS IF YOU DON'T."

Joaquin Phoenix, the actor you are! It's extremely tough to portray something so raw and real yet so disturbing. Phoenix's performance was unbelievably authentic.
The cinematography, musical score, and direction were brilliant. It was filmed ambiguously and Arthur seemed to be an unreliable narrator.

Arthur's psychological turmoil and his mental illness were aligned perfectly. Yes, mental illness isn't necessarily destructive, but it…

Draggy, messy writing. Felt so over the place. Why did they change the actual writing so much? Also, the adults really didn't add much to the story. Their acting wasn't great either. And the ending? Meh. They were pool partying as if they didn't lose their friend two minutes ago??? They had no chemistry!!

I was laughing through pain throughout the whole movie. The satirical take on colonization, politics, workplace pressure, and capitalization was on point. The sci-fi elements like cloning and multiples really made me invested. Robert Pattinson's acting was extraordinary both as Mikey 17 and 18. The rest of the cast was phenomenal in their acting, too. The constant trial of being perfect and failing is devastating. With all the obsession, anxiety, trapped feelings, self-destruction, sexuality issues, and identity crisis, she still managed to become THE PERFECT, but here l just gave up. Nina and I went through the same shits, metaphorically, but in the end, she felt the perfection but I felt the regret of giving up.
Dang, I'm being a total self-pitying idiot here.
But the fight between my white swan and my black swan hasn't ended yet. Neither i can win it over nor i can stop it. It's destructive.
