The Sea Inside 2004
This film lights up when you can feel Amenabar's touch on this film, when this film stops restricting itself. The writing is moving but I feel the film was self-reliant on the performances to elevate it onscreen (Bardem is good but not the power-house performance expected.)
The ending is as perfect as it could've been, Bardem is very very good, playing it down. The final scene was genuinely heart-breaking to watch.
