So simple! Yet so nuanced. Genuinely scary at times and holds a great tension all the way through. The writing and acting have so much heart and clarity that you have to forgive the few, predictable moments. (Also, extra points for midwestern parent characters who openly *refuse* to talk about any negative emotions. I get nostalgia just thinking about it 🥰)
