Dune: Part Two 2024
Absolutely blew my fucking mind.
What an astonishing piece of cinema that was blatantly, delicately hand crafted with skill and passion that translated note for note on the big screen.
I went into this not realising it was a 70mm imax screening at the BFI. Watching it in that format, with my friends was a breathtaking experience because it completely sucked me in, full body dive, into the narrative and the world and the characters and the motive.

The Boy and the Heron 2023
3 days after seeing this film at a preview at Picturehouse and it's still ingrained so deep in my brain that it doesn't feel like it will ever go away.
Just to start off, this film is fucking phenomenal. The animation is nothing short of breathtaking and the vibrant locations and colourful cast of characters keep you so engaged that I didn't feel like there was anything outside of my peripheral vision when watching this in the theatre.

Nice little Christmas treat. The new title sequence is fucking beautiful and the theme is on point. I absolutely love Ruby and the Doctors energy, they mesh so well together and I think the vibe they bring is perfectly in tune with what Doctor Who is.
I thought the Cinematography was nice - it felt like a blend of the old and the new. A fresh, modern Cinematographic style as well as keeping that OG Doctor Who feel.
