Went into this expecting to really like it. I did not. Frances McDormand was great but I really just don’t get why this movie was made. I thought the writing was so weird. At times it tried to take itself really serious, only to throw in these really awkward “comedic” moments in between. Idk… I don’t think it was terrible. Just didn’t move the needle the way I think a story ought to.

My Neighbor Totoro 1988
If I ever find myself in the position in life of having children, this will be a mandatory watch for them. What a great story. This was my first Studio Ghibli movie and the animation was just so pretty. Big YouTube slowed & reverb vibes if you know what I’m saying.

Dune: Part Two 2024
I don’t even know what to say. One of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect. I was so immersed into the story and the world that I genuinely felt like I was on Arrakis. Not one weak link in the cast. Denis is truly cementing himself as one of the all-time greats. The cinematography… the music… the pacing. Everything was so God damm good. Part 1 is a great movie and this one completely blows it out of the water. Holy Moly what a movie… I literally can’t wait to see it again.
