    Outside

    ★★★½

Outside is more than a zombie film, it explores themes of generational trauma and psychological horror. A family trapped on a sugarcane plantation, the zombie threat is merely a backdrop to the internal conflicts brewing within the home, mainly from the main character’s deteriorating mental state. Slow paced at times, Outside is a worthy watch if you enjoy character-driven stories. Hope you enjoy!

The Vast of Night is the directorial/writing debut of Andrew Patterson, written under the pseudonym James Montague, and starring Sierra McCormick (Supernatural) and Jake Horowitz (Who You Know). The film takes…

With the skill and patience it takes to find truffles, Pig takes its’ time to dig and reveal the core and drive behind our characters (Don’t judge! I just had to use the slight symbolism to make myself feel better 😘 !). It’s a wonderfully told narrative of broken characters that cling to the glue that keeps them intact; whether it be a loved one or an object. By the film’s third act, it’s like watching an entirely different movie. I…
