  Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful 2023

  I’m suddenly very self-aware. Second time watching a film in the Black Mirror series, and this one gave me the same unsettling feeling as the last. But then the ending was strangely, wholesome? I would give it a higher rating, but I’m just too disturbed. I’m glad it ended wholesome cause otherwise it would have been too horrible. 💀

  This thing is so creative and crazy that it’s real and Netflix actually produced it. It’s like how Mattel is a character in the Barbie movie, but… worse. It hits on a lot of hot-button topics in tech and entertainment, so I wonder how it’ll age. 🍷or🥛?

  It was so cute and so pretty. I love how the animals are really just animals in this. No dialogue. No human traits. Just animal behavior. Made me smile and tear up at times, but I am an emotional guy who really likes cats, and dogs… and capybaras, and birds… and lemurs (king Julian, my king).

  Jesus, what a beautiful family.

  This true story was so heartwarming. I’m thankful that King & Country shared their family story with us in this way. The 80s-90s setting was so fun. Cinematography was great, and all the actors were really great and genuine in this big family.
