Next time is next time. Now is now.

instantly one of my favourite films of all time. hard to put the experience of this into words. i had just watched ‘in the mood for love’ and not enjoyed it because not much happened, however i loved this film for precisely the same reason.

this film is about living in the moment, being happy with a mundane routine but also finding joy in the little things that break it up…

“I am Paul Muad'Dib Atreides, Duke of Arrakis. The Hand of God be my witness, I am the Voice from the Outer World! I will lead you to PARADISE!”

very interesting film about almost all aspects of life - love, regret, death. phillip seymour hoffman is as always brilliant. the structure is pretty cool and the story just gets more and more insane - definitely one to rewatch

nice romance with a unique but kinda underdeveloped sci fi twist. pretty cheesy too but good fun

a story as old as time about how power corrupts. quite a layered view on trump, obviously ends as a villain but is shown to have many bad influences. quite funny at points and a lot of great performances - jeremy strong is very powerful on screen, but for me sebastian stan was absolutely the standout, he nails every part of trumps persona and his mannerisms, and transforms throughout the film.

really fun film, perfect blend of action + comedy mixed with a cast with great chemistry and great effects. gags are great throughout and pacing is brilliant - in a world so full of lore the exposition really doesn’t drag down the story.
