Q&A with star Ryland Brickson Cole Tews (and his mum and sister, and the one guy that worked at the cinema).

Very, very fun film. This semi-silent video game live action cartoon adventure was so well put together. Barely any time at all and I was already settled into the lofi style. It just all comes together so well. Fair play to the cast and crew for spending months in the cold making this little by little.

Film score of the year I reckon. Very fun time at the movies. There were bits that didn't make perfect sense, but I was having so much fun I wasn't bothered. Robert Pattinson is so grimy and sweaty and weird in this and I loved it. His performance is so fun. Jung Jae-il's score is perfect. Bong Joon Ho's directing is exquisite. Unbelievable stuff. Really excellent the whole way through.
The flashbacks look unreal, the special effects look unreal, the whole thing is engaging from start to finish.
I haven't seen this in years, but I was instantly blown away by how well they show the contrast between The Terminator and Kyle Reese. It's not the most subtle, but it's so effective. Really cool storytelling.
All the performances are incredible too.

It's always bittersweet when I eventually watch a well regarded film after putting it off for a while and end up enjoying it.
I honestly can't find fault. Direction, writing, acting - it's all good. There's also a lot to contemplate about the more complex ideas here. I've been underwhelmed with the other Sorkin films (film?) I've seen, but this one hit the spot for me.
Overall, it's just great. No complaints.
