Riding the coattails of Edgar Allan Poe without adhering to his themes, characterizations, aesthetic, etc.
Only saw the first episode and the Tell-Tale episode that my brother had on while I graded my students' exams. That was enough, though. It takes less time to read the actual stories, and you get more out of them than you do watching this. Even if this weren't a bastardization of Poe, the acting here is in that cringeworthy category of faux-not-faux pretentious moralism.

Strong opening that petered out. Kept alive by Angela and Will — Grace Chastity and Max were the most interesting characters. Too many references to their other works; this wouldn’t work on its own.
Tough on this, but it’s given how great the first Hatchetfield musical was and how much this follow-up to Black Friday was teased for actual years.
