    This could of been your standard, run-of-the-mill, commercial toy tie-in movie, another Transformers or Beyblade. But instead it's the most imaginative, creative, visually pleasing, hilarious piece of animation I have ever seen. The jokes never end for both young and old, and that balance between pleasing both generations is hard to achieve but it succeeds wonderfully. The allegory running throughout of order vs. chaos is explored so well, and the final reveal towards the end is just perfect. I could go on and on, but I won't, instead I'm going to get all my lego out of the attic and go mental. Everything IS awesome.

    This is David Fincher doing what he does best, not necessarily the fast-paced, stylish likes of Seven or Fight Club, but more rooted in Zodiac and even House of Cards in terms of it's clinical approach to production. Possibly the first film I've ever seen Ben Affleck in actually acting, and doing it really well, and Rosamund Pike is outstanding as the female lead, effortlessly switching between moods without seeming like a completely different character, something that actors can struggle…
