Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance 1972
I found this gem while browsing a streaming service, sort of expecting it to be a run of the mill action film but was i sorely mistaken! Lone wolf and cub seord of vengeance is the first in a long franchise of 5 or 6 films and it brings the action, the story, anything you can expect to see in a japanese period action piece. Not only that, but it turns this film series was and is HIGHLY influential in stories we still see today. Do yourself a favor and check this one out! 5 buckets of popcorn and a large cola.

Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
Seemingly doomed from the start Joker: Folie a Deux is simultaneously not musical ENOUGH to appease musical fans, and TOO MUSICAL for people who don’t care for musicals. John Wick: Chapter 2 2017
John wick 2 is what i would call a perfect action movie. It takes a pretty normal revenge premise and through the use of symbolism, raising the stakes, and world-building elevates the action movie to something that can be considered art. It is one of the few movies that i can watch over again and spot new little details here and there. Highly recommend
