Its great sci-fi horror shit if you're into that. Lots of retread ground from a story beat perspective. Enjoyed the extra world building that happened in the early stages of the movie. The acid gravity scene was fun.
The uncanny valley part is genuinely terrifying.
This is a very well shot and put together documentary about the need for justice for women in Asian countries and the issues with prehistoric laws like the VFA.
I’m not a fan of Meredith Talusan’s part in this movie, not anything against her, but I wish she would have been less of an important player in this doc. I would have preferred it to focus on the actual women in the Philippines, not an American journalist.
Director is a really cool guy, and I look forward to what he does next.
