The Substance 2024
What an electric watch! Yeah, it got super campy at the end but that was still quite a showdown. The first two acts were far better but wow oh wow. Dripping in quality and themes about beauty standards, especially considering Demi looked AMAZING which made it hard to buy the message the film was trying to sell. Also sorry she has a star for a workout show? Sure. The whole thing was ridiculous from the start which makes the campyโฆ

Son of Batman 2014
I was taken out of this movie within the first 15 minutes when Talia admitted she roofied Batman and raped him to have their child and I just never recovered because it was such a subtle, throwaway line that Batman had no emotional response towards and I'm supposed to accept this? No.
Wow 1 star is pretty mean even for me. There's some fun action sequences and Robin confronting killing vs. just providing brain trauma to thugs.
