    It would have been really easy to just make a movie with an "iPhone Bad" movie. It does tap into some of the dangers of our co-dependency on technology. However, the overall theme of connection goes much deeper than the typical "social media is isolating us" argument.     I hate movies when the screenwriter just wants to torture their main character for an hour and a half. This film is cruel and mean-spirited, and comes from a dark, cynical view of the world. I guess I'm just not a cynical person. I don't mind dark movies, but there needs to be a point. I don't want to watch a movie about how the world is dog shit and everyone hates you. I watch movies to gain some form of clarity or catharsis. Dollhouse is just an ugly, hateful film that doesn't provide any sort of nuance or rationality for its cruelty.

    I refuse to see this movie on general principle.

    I'm honestly shocked that these depictions of autism are still prevalent in 2021. As an autistic person, it's incredibly triggering. I hate how the autistic character has no agency, and is just a prop for the neurotypcial main character's story.
