  Just a straight-to-video action film that barely holds itself together.

  Let’s start with the good: the sound mix is solid. The action scenes (when you can actually see them) have a nice punch, and Stallone, with the little screen time he gets, at least commits—he sweats, he fights, he gets dirty. Credit where it’s due.

  This is a 4 to 5 out of 10 movie, depending on the scene. It’s never great, but it has its moments of fun.

  For their age, Schwarzenegger and Stallone are actually committed to the roles, which is more than you’d expect at this point in their careers. Caviezel is entertaining as the sadistic warden, and the concept itself is solid—a CIA-backed, off-the-books, private black site built by ex-Blackwater operatives in international waters.   This is a solid adaptation all around.

  Loved the sound mix and the songs. Also this project has solid performances from all the cast.

  The editing could've been tighter though... 2h 7m was a lot of time for the story they wanted to tell.
