Taking away the problematic racial casting choice of Peter Sellers as the lead; I guess it balances out of being a very fun, likeable time of a movie, although it started quite slow, what made stand out was the visual gags (especially the ones involving the drunken servant and the poor chef) including on how it kept building up to a gnarly hilarious finale.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Man, although I respect that without this movie there won't be any Breakfast Club; it doesn't cut the fact that this clearly shows to be an obligation teen movie (that this movie had to have raunchy jokes, awkward humor and over the top situations in some scenes) and honestly the romance between Jake and Sam was quite unnecessary and forced (compared to Pretty In Pink, despite it wasn't directed by Hughes).
