  Batman Forever 1995

  Even in the hacked up version we have now, this is by far the deepest and most complex of the old Batman films. A tragically dark tale about the inability to overcome trauma that's presented in the most whimsical and vaudevillian way possible. It shouldn't work and yet it all does wonderfully.

  Look, the film may be... who am I kidding, it is a huge mess and it's not really good. But at the same time, it's so insanely stylish and entertaining I couldn't care less.
