My least favorite of the Nolan trilogy. Batman is gone for half the movie and the story is way too dense and convoluted. Enjoyed the scene where Bane whoops Batman. Anne Hathaway was a solid catwoman and the final scene is a great ending for Bruce/Alfred. Shout out Hines Ward.
What a trip, I guess that is the Lynch experience. Laura Dern and Kyle MacLachlan are great and Dennis Hopper is terrifying. Kinda drags in the middle but I enjoyed the overall vibe of the movie. MacLachlan‘s relentlessness in pursuing the murder mystery is bizarre. Nice to see Happy Gilmore’s grandma show up, and I’ll never look at Heineken or PBR the same.
Probably my last theater movie for a while now that the baby is here and a great one to go out on. Palm Theater was so cool.
Sad and awful story about how a dictatorship affects a family in Brazil. Fernanda Torres was amazing as the mother and I totally believed that the family was real. Interesting to learn about the dictatorship in Brazil, something I was not familiar with before. Jail scene and when they leave the Rio house were highlights. Shorten the epilogue and this would’ve been even better.
