Hard-hitting and powerful, though, I found the story to be a little disjointed and the pacing slightly off. The lack of exposition also reduced a lot of the emotional impact of the story for me.
I thought that the decision to tell the story from war journalists’ perspectives was a clever idea, however, it could have been executed better.
The final act had some great action and tension but was sadly let down by an abrupt, predictable and unoriginal ending.
Overall, while I did enjoy Civil War, I was a little underwhelmed when the credits rolled.
