3rd viewing…this time with the added layer of watching it in an absolute packed house of college kids who reacted loudly to everything. Including their collective distain for the ending, which echoed the person I came with unfortunately.

Possible perfect film. Reports of corniness found to be false. Aging like Emma Thompson, better than ever. 2002 Kirsten Dunst unmatched. Reimi in blockbuster god mode. Silly comic book stuff is staged so beautifully but the small moments hit even harder. Made me cheer, made me cry. Gotta love the fucking movies, man.
