  seen introduced by cronenberg and howard shore!!
  death is the logical endpoint of desire—the final orgasm; everything else is just a prelude. modern technology is the catalyst. a film that is at once seductive, disturbing, tragic, and even quite funny...a truly singular artistic achievement that i could write pages on. of all the unforgettable images in this, unger’s fluttering eyelids and statuesque gaze probably reverberate in my mind the most.

  trying to caricature what is already beyond caricature. the result is a cartoonish artificiality that bears no relation to reality. worse, is not even knowing what you’re trying to satirise. this is all manifest in ruffalo’s role, which strikes me as a very confused take on trump/musk, targeting their clownish demeanor in an snl parody fashion that does nothing to comment on the very scary threats they actually are. if anything, reducing them to punchlines does the very opposite. a…
