A fine central Nicholas Hoult performance but a ludicrous and amateurish script.
Major plot details fall apart under the slightest bit of scrutiny. You’re telling me the public defender wouldn’t have suggested a hit and run even as a theory to the jury? I know he’s overworked, but it doesn’t exactly take a brilliant legal mind to come up with that one, it’s the most obvious explanation to anyone.
So much of this hinges on the prosecution’s “slam dunk” case,…
