A story about vengeance or justice, depending on your perspective, with an underlying romance (I especially loved the exchange of letters). Pierre Niney’s performance was absolutely brilliant, giving me goosebumps multiple times, and the cinematography was stunning. Despite being three hours long, it felt surprisingly brief.
That said, I did notice a few plot holes—like how exactly he managed to swim back home??

It’s one of those films after finishing it, I feel sad because I can’t experience watching it for the first time again.
Favourite scene… the listening booth! I knew it was going to be my favourite scene when I was watching it. The sneaky glances at each other as the music starts to play, the moment they hear the singer sing "Come here, come here. No, I'm not impossible to touch. I have never wanted you so much", the slight smiles on both their faces (and mine), and the tension between them… I can't.
