The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024
I was having a bad day and this made me laugh a lot. I’m also envious of how gorgeously the characters were animated. Also a communal experience in the theater I have yet to experience since seeing Get Out… a packed theater of adults who all went out of their way to a theater to see Looney Tunes. Laughing.

A cacophony of humanity; lots of themes tackled here but I don’t know if each theme was thoroughly explored enough to justify including. Human kind sucks, we are all multifaceted, colonization, purist politics, capitalism, self worth. I should have watched this movie earlier in the day because I think I was too tired to fully process. I’ll give it credit though; this was a really unique experience. I can’t think of a movie I’ve seen in recent memory that made me feel the way this one did. A chaotic cocktail that made me reflect. Respect to Bong Joon-Ho!
