Strange Darling 2023
Can’t believe how much I liked this one. Story kept me locked in the whole time, Willa as “the lady” was one of the best performances I’ve seen in a months. The jumping around was easy to follow and the runtime was ideal. Can’t really find anything wrong with this one.

A Real Pain 2024
My favorite part of this was probably how simple it was, not in the sense of the plot, but on how it didn’t choose to dive that far into any particular detail of the story while still managing to touch on them all and paint the complex relationship and background of Jesse and Kieran.
Love a heavy movie with so many laughs. Give me more Poland visuals tho next time!

Past Lives 2023
One of my favorite movies visually since Lost in Translation. You could take snapshots of random scenes and they perfectly told the story. Nora and Hae Sung were amazing characters, and the writing was top, so many crushing lines. “You dream in a language I can’t understand.” One of my favorites of 2023!

What a cursed family, had me questioning whether or not it could actually be a true story. Great depiction of everything behind the scenes in professional wrestling, they nailed that part. Zac was jacked, The only bad part was the terrible Nature Boy promo, couldn’t cast anyone to be as good as the real thing.
