  Works on many levels, some of which I couldn't begin to understand. Primarily and adroitly, comments on the subjugation and utilization of African Americans and presents it - even in its horror - as a privilege. Black bodies are only allowed to exist as as a vessel for White prosperity. They are, as one character claims "passengers" on someone else's journey.

  Overall: fun. Ratcheting up the gore felt cheap and the ending is not very satisfying, especially how Judy Greer fits into it. Pacing is off too. There are many genuine scares and it’s a fun time at the movies, but it’s lacking a whole lot of tension in favor of a bigger body count.
