  Is this worth watching? If you are Catholic, love Saints Therese, Louis and Zelle, and the rest of the Martin family, and you are willing to see a low budget film filled with corniness to find something worth your while underneath, then yes. If you are anybody else, it's probably best to spend an hour and a half watching something else.

  What else can you even add to this? It's a fantastic animated movie, and one of, if not the best, biblical film adaptations.

  Other than the overall 80's aesthetic and nifty set design, the movie itself isn't that good. The plot is painfully slow, the acting is meh, there is an over usage of body glitter, and there isn't much character to the characters.

  However, it is great for poking fun at with some buddies, so it's not a total loss. Oh, and Tim Curry is basically Satan, so that's neat.

  A Christmas Carol 1999

  If I had to pick my favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol, this is it. You really, truly feel bad for Scrooge's past, and it goes into more detail about his close relationship with his sister Fran. His redemption is so much sweeter, especially towards his nephew Fred and his wife. I do love other adaptations such as the Muppets' and Jim Carrey's but to me, this is just about as perfect as you can get.

  It is a tragedy and a crime this film doesn't have a Blu-ray release after all these years, get on that Warner Bros!
