the scariest aspect goes to....?
a) the all-around great shadow work/camera tilts/pace
b) orlok's fuck-ass dr. robotnik mustache (truly made it all 10% less scary)
c) lily rose-depp's performance 'cause girl how do you not have bad dreams after that, damn

we watched this with b's parents (retired navy captains who scare me tbh) and her mom was so terrified of the snake scenes that she buried herself underneath all of our puffer jackets for a good chunk of the movie. which i did not expect.
