  I loved The Big Short. I liked (parts of) Vice. And I was deeply disappointed with whatever this was (if I had to guess, a 2.5 hour montage?)

  Look, just because I (largely) agree with the movie doesn’t mean it’s good. The actors are fine; Blanchett and Chalamet are standouts. The movie actually clicks when it shifts into sincerity and out of its smug “satire” mode. There’s a good running joke about paying for free snacks.
