Well, Mr. Juice has just come back. How about I return to actively participating on here now?

Sadly, my suggestion for Dick Cavett to make a brief appearance in here wasn't granted. The movie certainly went for killing off Charles Deetz though. All the better for it. Honestly, I'm getting giggles from remembering the OTT way this movie uses that character. Whose idea of that grave marker was it?

I haven't recently watched this movie "Life Itself." I'm using it as a stand-in for my low-key announcement that relates to the subject of this movie, Roger Ebert. First, I'll discussed my personal history to the name in some length. If you just want to read my little announcement, then scroll down to the last paragraph.

Just okay...which I find so odd to be saying about a weird and genre-hopping movie like Mickey 17.

I was into the story fine enough during the first act even though it took some time for me to get into the movie's tonal groove. After the movie dials back the narration and finishes recounting the events leading up to the opening scene, things get more interesting with certain developments. But then, the climax arrives and I'm mentally checkingโ€ฆ

It's kind of funny seeing the Nicole Kidman ad and Tom Cruise's message within two minutes prior to the feature, huh?

Believe the hype, folks. "Top Gun: Maverick" is rock-solid entertainment. It greatly improves on the original 1986 film, and this is coming from someone who doesn't care much for that one. Is the sequel just as pro-Navy and continues displaying the opponents as faceless enemies? It does, as expected. Is the "Tom Gun" cheese still intact? Itโ€ฆ

"Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio" is a heartfelt spectacle made with care and love in every single frame, and it's in a league of its own when it comes to delivering something for the whole family. While it has its share of comedy, adventure and heart, the movie is certainly more intense than the normal PG-rated animated movie these days (Strap in for Mussoliniโ€ฆ
