  Watched it again last night, still as intriguing as the first watch a few years ago maybe even more so. All time “have you seen this movie” to say to a friend, movie.

  As if The Wire met Heat. They even got Idris Elba for a role, after he put the word out that “we back up”. Overall, good movie. Russell Crowe and Denzel carry the fuck out of this movie, Denzel’s portrayal of Frank Lucas was fantastic. A fun watch, but a genre that I feel a little bloated on - if I watched a year from now I bet my rating would be higher.

  A quintessential 2011 film. Pretty entraining to zone out to. The movie has an interesting setting. I think the idea of the “source code” is compelling enough to warrant a reboot - as long as it is nothing like this movie. Was this a book? No it wasn’t, thank god. The plot is somewhat forgettable (give it about 3 months and I’ll forget I even watched this). My biggest probably with the movie is the dialogue. Jake gyllenhaal was mediocre…
