bawled my eyes out tbh, which can only be achieved by a certain calibre of film. Good but not in a ‘this will change the way I see the world’ way just in a ‘yeah I would happily watch this again and again’ kind of way

Blue Valentine 2010
Two things spurred me on to finally watch this - being bed-bound with norovirus and a video of Paul Mescal saying it’s in his top four.
Probably would have enjoyed it more without the intermittent vomiting. But it was very poignant, one to rewatch on a sunnier day I think.
