    “Iris, go to sleep“

Entertaining, for sure. Ex Machina 2, but with less focus on the nuances of artificial consciousness and more of a brave stance against incels.

I actually enjoyed watching. There were plenty of redeeming qualities that made it fun, and some half-realised concepts that almost felt powerful. Ultimately, I think the fact that Iris was a robot undermined any commentary on abusive relationships, and she felt too human for the sci-fi elements to really work. It’s a shame because either of the two competing halves of this film could have been great on their own. Sophie Thatcher was fantastic.

“Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, uh, your opinion, man”

I remember not being particularly impressed the first time I watched this. Could not have been more wrong. Now I realise that in my dozing off I definitely missed some pretty key bits. Second time around was fantasticThe Big Lebowski exudes Coen Bros energy with its borderline nonsensical yet utterly immersive plot, and is full of wacky characters and brilliant dialogue. A very fun watch from start to finish. Loved

Hilarious from the very first scene, I could have watched it again the next day. It gradually became my new favourite Christmas movie. I’d love to watch a two hour montage of gremlins wreaking havoc in all sorts of ridiculous and unexplained costumes. Shoutout to Rockin’ Ricky, I’m your biggest fan. Incredible watch.

“The knight made yet good cheer,
and said: ‘Why should I falter?
    Such destinies foul or fair

what can men do but suffer?’ "

I kept oscillating between finding this too confusing and wonderfully cryptic, and to be honest it wasn’t until I read the poem that I began to form a concise opinion of the film as an adaptation. In short, it was a unique and fun watch (would 100% recommend), full of excellent cinematography, but it got a…
