BETTER PLOT SUMMARY

Depressed widower attempts to obliterate all of humanity just to see his dead wife for the 100000000th time but instead has his depression cured by his teen son who fixes everything and owns anime nerds by rebooting the universe and making out with a 50 year old British lady

Short, very basic story, and a bit of uncanny valley.

It's well made and captures the dark tones of the titular indie video-game. I acknowledge it's a short film (10 mins), but it doesn't offer much of an original story.

Compared to previous Doctor Who specials, let alone regular episodes, I found the plot to be kind of stale.

David Bradley’s portrayal of the 1st Doctor (originally William Hartnell) was actually very good, but the I’m-a-sexist-old-guy-from-the-60s jokes do get out of place.

I get that this is a Christmas special, and it was produced and shot very well. However, it felt lacking in aspects and short, so despite my appreciation for all the work put into this episode, I didn’t really like it as much as I wanted to.
