The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
eh.
the book was good, engaging and well written. but the film was like watching something made by an AI that was just fed the other 4 films and told to make a prequel. Was this script written during the SAG strikes? It felt like it.
How they managed to make 2.5 hours of cinema feel simultaneously like a 45 min speed-tour of the Hunger Games and also a 6 hour mandatory plumbing seminar I will never know.
