loved every second of it, except for the moment where Joan Chen says she’s proud of her son — completely unrealistic part of a Taiwanese childhood. The cinematography was beautiful, the references to the early 2000s were wonderfully done (how did they pull up all the old computer fings?! a beautiful, cringey recreation of teenage angst over Facebook & AIM).
