Nomadland 2020
I’m... conflicted!!!! On one hand, this was a gorgeous film, showing the cyclical nature of life and how each of us are just collections of the stories we hear from the people around us... The visual language, pacing and structure of “the journey-togetherness-loneliness-solitude” alongside the score was really poetic and closely intimate. However, whilst watching the film, there were certain moments in the film (particularly the scene where Fern, Swanky and Linda May play pretend in the giant luxurious RV)…

With all the time travelling, horcrux-style MacGuffins and the presence of the ever-so-yummy Robert Pattinson, Tenet was truly an ambitious remake of the Harry Potter series :) LOL jokes aside, it was sadly not one of Nolan’s greatest works.. But the whole palindromic structure of the movie was quite cool lah.... especially that moment midway through the movie when your mind connects the dots and you feel quite powerful and then everything (kinda) slips into place....... Ok but on a more serious note? Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki? If anything, just watch this movie for the SERIOUSLY yummy cast.
