feels like a documentary i need to watch more than once. the editing was masterful and i learned so much about the history of the Congo, the CIA’s use of jazz musicians in their imperial plots, and about jazz. at times it felt like the film was going in so many directions that it was hard to keep up / bring all the threads together, but i still very much am glad to have watched !!

i very much appreciated hearing from the Tamimis, Ashira, and the other Palestinian folks featured in the film, but i could’ve gone without the centering of israeli interviewees throughout the documentary. i appreciate the intention of the film and hope it reaches those who might benefit from hearing both Palestinian and israeli perspectives
