    To my surprise, Anora has gotten good ratings amongst critics. Why surprise? Mostly because the story itself felt too mundane and narrow. Long gone are the days of Lifetime dramas that frequently aired on daytime TV. That’s how Anora felt to me. It felt like a Lifetime movie. Lifetime movies often portray the struggles and harm of women by men. Perhaps the decline of Lifetime dramas has led critics to overly praise Anora.
