"Why is there doubt in your heart?" - shutter clicks, long, sharp fingernails adjust the focus - "You can see it is I. Myself."
Rich with allegory and spiritual references. Every zoom-in and pan-out was well placed and timed. Great performances from Kwak Do-won, Jun Kunimura and Kim Hwan-hee. Also showed Hwang Jung-min's range given how different this was than his typical revenge/action movie parts. Refreshing to see a depiction of aging that isn't grounded in flashbacks/reminiscing, and instead focused on Carol's new interests and her engagement with things that she used to enjoy in order to show how life/time has changed her. Want more Blythe Danner and/or Sam Elliot.
