The perfect conduit for Baz Luhrmann's cock rock maximalism. Puts all of the boorish emotional engineering of every Biopic in its wake to one side in favour of something much more psychedelic. Feels like three or four separate tv biopics with an onslaught of Graceland ephemera hurling from every conceivable angle. It's absolutely bursting at the seems, I think it's 3 hour run time wasn't enough.
