  A solid survival horror film with a unique premise. I wish it was a TV show rather than a film because as much as I will always watch 90+ minutes of Samara Weaving running around covered in blood, the post-apocalyptic world this takes place in is very fascinating and the film leaves a lot on the table about it.

  A film that both treads very similar territory as Night of the Living Dead and expands well into completely different topics, some of them incredibly prescient. While the ties to the Vietnam war and militarization are clear, it also explores central authority vs small town America, which, in today's polarization, is very much at the forefront, especially post our own pandemic response.
