It takes thriller photography and an episodic nature and turns them into something more. Army of Shadows feels like it encompasses and illustrates the pain of France all the way from the individual to the entire country. Definitely needs a rewatch to catch every detail.
Like Ocean's 11 but starring the people I saw everyday of my years in Parkersburg, good and bad all rolled into three-dimensional characters.
