  Fourth film of day 1 at True/False!

  Beautiful, powerful, moving, and heartbreaking. I love how this movie portrays girlhood through intimate and emotional moments between Najiba, Hawa, and Zahra. I love the care in which the director films her mother and how much their connection and love for each other is so clear. This hit me so hard and was incredibly emotional. These are the stories that should be told about Afghanistan, not the constant regurgitation from white people about how messed up it is there. This movie captures why I want to make films.
