  If anybody is curious, the song is 解脫 by A-Mei Cheng

  the karaoke scene lives rent free in my head and the particular shot that's used as the artwork in letterboxd is my favourite, really up there in the most beautiful things i've ever seen that captures melancholy

  unfortunately the movie as a whole did not make me emotionally respond outside of a select few moments, but it still captured my attention

  This is what it's like for anyone who's made a series of mistakes during their young adult life, being stuck in limbo, repeating variations of the same scenario over and over again, two steps forward and three steps back. No matter the context and specific setting, im sure anyone who watches this has felt the exact loss of direction Vicky goes through in this film. This type of narrative is nothing new but it's ridiculously visceral for me.
